Maybe you came from Google. Maybe you clicked something strange and ended up here by accident. Either way, you are now reading a blog about pets that is not pretending pets are always calm, graceful or sensible.
There are loads of pet blogs that do a brilliant job of talking about training, health, and nutrition. They use nice words. They take nice photos. Everything looks peaceful and controlled.
Real pets are not like that.
Real pets do things that make you stop and ask questions out loud to an empty room. They sit in places that make no sense. They make eye contact while doing something they absolutely should not be doing. They develop habits that nobody trained them to have.
That is the bit we want to talk about as well.
There will be normal, useful articles on this site. Things that explain behaviour properly and try to help you understand what is going on. Those live in the sensible part of the site.
Then there is this part.
This is where we admit that sometimes the only explanation is that your pet is a little bit odd and possibly running on a completely different rulebook to the rest of us.
For example, a normal article might explain why cats do that strange pedalling thing with their back legs. Muscles, comfort, instincts. All very reasonable.
Here, the explanation is that they have just remembered something from a past life and are acting it out dramatically.
Both versions exist peacefully.
This is not going to be a long post. It is just here to say that this site is about information, but it is also about enjoying how strange animals can be. If that sounds like your kind of thing, you are probably in the right place.
If not, that is fine too. The internet is full of very sensible pet advice and we respect that.
